CloudConvert processes documents, images, video, and audio across over a thousand format pairs. The service runs entirely in a browser, requires no installation, and deletes uploaded files after the conversion finishes.
Where it fits
Occasional conversions, such as client exhibits, marketing clips, and discovery productions, are the sweet spot. Batch workloads, privileged documents, or files that never leave your network should stay on local tooling such as FFmpeg, LibreOffice, or ImageMagick.
Practical note
The free tier covers most one-off jobs. Paid plans add higher concurrency, larger file limits, and API access for automated pipelines. Evaluate the privacy policy before uploading anything subject to attorney-client privilege or HIPAA.
